It is true that Heirs are bound to Inherit a great power, however, their common themes link them more to the Witch than the Maid. The Familiar may grant power to the Witch, who must in turn overcome the Will of the Familiar, just like how the Heir is at risk of losing themselves to their Aspect itself, the Witch is at risk of losing themselves to their Familiar. Inevitability is a troubling concept in many ways, the idea that things are fated to happen. They may also be more likely Change events that are going to happen through Time Loops and Time Travel. And just like that, they too may alter the flux of Time in battle. However the Heir of Time should be careful, lest they be consumed by the Timeline, left Doomed, consumed by constant Strife, or losing themselves to the amount of time they spend fixing things up. They may as well be Changed by Time, changed by a life of Strife and fight against the forces of inevitability, for better or worse.

About the Blog
The Heir is a class that receives their aspect, Inherits it to be clever. The game will provide someone or someforce for you to learn the Aspect of Time in its both literal and symbolic forms. Time Travelling fun times at the likelihood of being horribly killed in Doomed Timelines. As a Heir, the game will teach you your aspect, which knowing Time, means you will be taught about entropy, seen most as Death. As a Heir, your nature is threefold, becoming Aspect, protected by Aspect, and manipulation of Aspect. You will become Time. You will be protected by Time and you will manipulate Time. To become Time, I suspect it will eitherr be: being able to jump through time without assistance by becoming part of the Timeline, or perhaps becoming a force of Entropy, bringing old age to all you deem to. The progression of the Game will also protect you. As a Time player, your job will also involve catering to the various timelines, trying to keep them intact.

Let me be upfront when I say that, as far as I know, there has only ever been one example of a character going Grimdark in Homestuck: Rose Lalonde. Aspect inversion is a tricky subject. How the aspects invert is fairly simple - each aspect has an opposite, after all:. But class inversion is harder to pin down. There is the Passive-Active dichotomy that Calliope discussed with Dirk Prince is active while Bard is passive , but this is not an inversion. The inversions of classes are as follows:. For example, if I were to go Grimdark, I would go from being a Knight of Rage to a Rogue of Hope: one who distributes inspiration and positive emotions through inspiration and positive emotions.
